Green Seal Bicycle Apprenticeship Program

Have you been thinking about a career as a Bicycle Mechanic?  The Bikeroom Green Seal Apprenticeship Program can help you get there

An apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and classroom learning that leads to a trade credential. This program is designed alongside our 2 Week Mechanic and Service Shop programs. Once you complete your schooling /apprenticeship and receive your “ticket”, This will help you gain confidence and credibility in the bicycle industry

Greeen seal apprenticeship program

  • Helps you gain experience/confidence working as a mechanic
  • Is recognized by bike shops across BC/Alberta and Canada
  • Are open to Women, Men and Youth. Everyone is welcome

Our Apprenticeship program is split into 2 levels.  Bicycle Builder level 1 and Bicycle Mechanic level 2.  Expect 2 years to complete both levels.

Ticket Requirments

Upon completion of classroom training, on-the-job hours, and a final exam, a recognized bicycle shop will confirm your skill level and competence. Once you receive your ticket, you’ll be recognized by colleagues and the public as a skilled professional in your trade.

Technical skills required

  • Rounded mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents
  • Work well with customers and fellow employees

If you’re ready to start an apprenticeship, you’ll need to find a job with an employer who will sponsor and train you.  If you cannot find a job with an employer, let us help you.
