ATI’ve been a bike mechanic for almost 20 years. In that time I’ve worked in some amazing shops including West Point Cycles, Cove Bike Shop and Different Bikes and worked with and learned from some amazing mechanics. In 2008 I began spending lots of time away from the bench on the road first as a Factory Team DH Mechanic, then as the National Team DH Mechanic. I also started working with Shimano as a field staff technician.

Today I’m the Head Mechanic for the Canadian National Mountain Bike Team and am fortunate to travel to races and events all over the world with my toolbox. I have race support experience in Road, Track, Cyclocross and Mountain Bike including BC Bike Race, BC Cup, Canada Cup, US Cup, World Cup, World Championship, Pan Am, Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Put it this way, I have an extensive collection of lanyards, pit passes and airmiles.

When I’m not out at a race, one of the places you can find me is at the Bikeroom. I take the same pride in helping a student learn to adjust a headset as I do helping an athlete win an Olympic medal. I feel my experience as a race mechanic as well as a service shop mechanic and manager give me a unique set of skills and experiences to pass along to my students.
